Mount Morgan Pool is getting a makeover!
The project will consist of a new pool that is 25 metres with eight lanes, 900mm to 1350 depth, a wet deck, tiled concourse, entry ladders, starting blocks and accessibility. There would also be a splash pad, a larger wet play area, new shade structures over both ends of the pool, a kiosk block and 56 parking spaces (including two disabled parking spaces).
Ancillary buildings would be constructed like a new plant shed, change rooms, amenities and an entry kiosk and shade structures.

The facility is closed while work is underway and construction is expected to take 12 months. Council began draining the pool in July and fencing has been placed around it.
This is thanks to Council securing $4.5 million in a State Government Resource Communities Infrastructure Fund and has allocated $2 million towards the project from their own funds.
